AriadneHire helps job seekers find people who can help them get hired: people they already know at companies that are hiring, and the likely hiring team behind a job posting. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Who we are
AriadneHire is run by Aliaksei Burych, an individual based in Georgia (Rustaveli Ave 4, apt 1806, Batumi 6010, Georgia), who is the data controller. Contact for anything in this policy: support@ariadnehire.com. The service is at ariadnehire.com.
Two groups of people
We handle data about users, who sign up and use AriadneHire, and about people who appear in results: a user's LinkedIn connections, and employees of hiring companies (recruiters, hiring managers, people who posted about a job). People in the second group never signed up, so this policy has a section just for them below.
Data about users
| What | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Account: email, name, profile photo URL, password hash (if you use a password), Google or LinkedIn account id (if you sign in with them) | To create your account and sign you in | Contract |
| Your CV or the text you write about yourself, and employers read from it | To write message drafts in your voice and to spot connections who are likely former colleagues | Contract |
| Search settings: target roles, seniority, locations, work type | To run your searches | Contract |
| Your searches, results, unlocks, drafts, and whether you marked a draft sent or replied | To show your history and results | Contract |
| Credit balance and history, invite code, who invited you | To run credits, invite rewards and refunds | Contract |
| A fingerprint of your uploaded connections list | To stop the same network claiming free credits on several accounts | Legitimate interest (preventing abuse) |
| Last sign-in time; technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, errors) | Security, debugging, weekly refreshes for active users | Legitimate interest |
When card payments open, payments will be handled by Paddle (see Refund policy). We will not see or store your card details.
Data about people who appear in results
Your connections. When you upload your LinkedIn data export, we read only Connections.csv: each connection's first and last name, LinkedIn profile URL, email address (only if they chose to share it with you), company, position and the date you connected. The rest of the export is discarded unread. We use this list only to show you who you know at hiring companies and to draft your messages. Other users never see your connections.
Hiring teams. For a job link, we look up people at that company who are likely to be involved in the hire. Their name, job title, company, LinkedIn profile URL, work email and an email quality grade come from business contact data providers (MoltSets, Hunter) and email checks (Bouncer). We also find public LinkedIn posts about the job and show who posted them.
Why we may do this. Our legal basis is legitimate interest: helping job seekers reach the people responsible for hiring, using professional, work-related details. We limit this to work contact data, show it only to the user who asked for it, never send messages ourselves, and do not sell or publish it. If you are one of these people, you can object at any time and we will stop showing you (see below).
Where it comes from. Connections come from the user's own LinkedIn export. Hiring team details come from MoltSets, Hunter and Bouncer, and from public LinkedIn posts collected through Apify.
Who we share data with
We use these service providers. Each receives only what it needs for its job.
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Render | Hosts the app and its session store | All app traffic and sessions |
| Neon | Main database | Everything listed in this policy |
| Groq | AI model that writes drafts, reads job pages and ranks results | Your CV text, the job, and the name and title of the person a draft is for |
| MoltSets, Hunter | Business contact data | Company domain, job titles searched, names of people looked up |
| Bouncer | Checks whether an email address works | The email address being checked |
| Apify | Collects public job postings and LinkedIn posts | Company names, job titles, search keywords. No user data. |
| Axiom | Logs of calls to contact data providers | The request and response of those calls, which include contacts' names and emails |
| Google, LinkedIn | Sign-in, if you choose it | The sign-in request; we receive your name, email and photo |
| Clearbit, Google (favicons, fonts) | Company logos and the site's fonts | Company names (Clearbit); your browser loads logos and fonts from Google, which sees your IP address |
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
International transfers
AriadneHire is operated from Georgia, and most of our providers are based in or process data in the United States. Where data about people in the EU, UK or Switzerland leaves those regions, we rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. Contact us for details.
How long we keep data
- Your account, CV, uploads, searches and drafts: until you delete your account. Deleting it in Settings removes all of these right away.
- Contact data providers' answers (cached so we don't pay twice): up to 180 days, then deleted automatically.
- Logs of calls to contact data providers: 30 days in our database and in Axiom.
- Sessions: 14 days after your last visit.
- Credit history: kept with your account. Once payments open, records of purchases are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and Georgia's Law on Personal Data Protection, you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Users can delete their account and data themselves in Settings. For anything else, email support@ariadnehire.com. We reply within 30 days.
If you appeared in someone's results and don't want to, email us with your name and your LinkedIn profile URL or work email. We delete what we hold about you and add you to a do-not-show list, so you won't appear in future results for any user. We may keep that minimal identifier on the list so the block keeps working.
You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the one in your EU country, or Georgia's Personal Data Protection Service.
Cookies
We use one cookie, ariadne_sid, which keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary, so it needs no consent. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
Security
Connections to AriadneHire are encrypted. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Session cookies hold only a random id. Access to the database and providers is limited to the operator.
Age
AriadneHire is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell users by email or in the app before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
